What is a Trustee?
Kiva focuses on building partnerships with organizations and individuals that have a close professional or personal relationship with the borrower. An integral part of the Kiva model, Trustees are individuals or organizations who vouch for an entrepreneur’s character and reputation and recommend borrowers to the Kiva program.
Founder Forward (formerly Envolve USA) was founded in 2016 by the Libra Group. Initially known as the American Entrepreneurship Award, Envolve’s founding was inspired by a call to action from President Barack Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper initiative, which encouraged leaders and organizations to address opportunity gaps in underserved communities.
